RED EARTH at Berrington

RED EARTH at Berrington

A team of environmental artists called Red Earth initiated this project during 2016 by using timber from the parkland to create artworks which illustrate and enhance the original landscape and tell the story of Brown at Berrington. Visitors even helped to create the artworks by becoming surveyors and drawing artistic maps, reed cutting and binding, all of which you can see with their exhibition: 'Genius Loci'. The residency culminated in a beautiful and strange performance called 'Strange Magic', using Georgian fireworks and folk music.
